Custom Signs
RocketKid Designs will soon be offering custom signs!
I’ve been working on so many different ideas I had overlooked some ideas that I could easily achieve today without needing to build anything new. It turns out I had everything I needed to make some pretty neat signs. And the possibilities are endless.
This first sign was made by combining the laser I developed earlier this year with a cnc router. Pretty neat! I also have the ability to engrave into wood if I like.
This next one I’m particularly proud of. It took some ingenuity but I developed a way to engrave images into wood. This is the first test run, so it will get much better. The beauty of this though is that the code I’ve written can turn any picture in to gcode that tells my router how to put a picture in any type of material.
If anyone is interested in more detail how this process works I’d be happy to share, let me know and I’ll write a post about that.
I hope these sign ideas inspire you and maybe there is even something you would want turned into a sign yourself. We can currently make almost any type of sign out of wood if you send us a request. And will soon have an interface here where you can order custom and premade signs.
